Missionaries supported by St luke’s
Taulama Siuhengalu
CMS (Church Missionary Society)
Shepherding God’s flock in South East Asia
Taulama is based in Hanoi, Vietnam,
"There is an increasing number of believers in Vietnam, particularly amongst ethnic minority groups, and many are keen to grow in their faith. However, limited access to resources and poor training means few local gospel workers are equipped to shepherd the flock.
By partnering with a local Bible college, I hope to be involved in discipling, training, and encouraging the next generation of Christian leaders to be equipped for ministry in their churches and local communities." Taulama
Peter and Caryn Kneale
Serving in Pokhara, Nepal, with International Nepal Fellowship (INF)
Peter and Caryn left their Sydney home in August 2022 to live and serve in Pokhara, Nepal.
Peter is a retired English and History teacher, and is now teaching the primary school aged children of expat workers. He teaches an international curriculum to children aged 8-11 years, which enables the children to one day return to higher education in their passport country. With such education for their children, parents are able to continue their cross-cultural work in Nepal. There is a strong focus on the Christian faith in the curriculum and life of the school.
Caryn is a dietitian and is currently INF’s Nutrition Advisor. She provides education and training to INF’s hospital and community-based staff, as well as to Nepalis with a variety of medical conditions. Her work aims to improve the health and well-being of Nepalis, many of whose life is affected by different forms of malnutrition, as well as the emerging problem of chronic diseases such as obesity, hypertension and diabetes.
Peter and Caryn seek to be light and salt, and bring God’s love, to those with whom they live and work.
International Nepal Fellowship Australia supports community-led projects that increase food and income, improve health, respond to disasters and prepare for life in a changing climate.
INF partners with local organisations in Nepal who live and work among disadvantaged communities. They're best placed to lead because they understand the needs of local people and work collaboratively for solutions.
